Walk for homeless with Bishop Reilly Central Massachusetts Housing Alliance‘s 27th annual Walk for the Homeless, cochaired by retired Bishop Daniel P. Reilly and Bernie Rotman, will be held May 20 with registration at 1 p.m. at Institute Park. Walkers step-off at 2 p.m. to begin the new 4.2 mile walk route allowing participants to visit the recently purchased site of Interfaith Hospitality Network, CMHA’s new home, and the Donations Clearinghouse. Following a “neighborhood BBQ” will welcome participants back to the park; entertainment will be provided by the Worcester area WAIT team and “Hat on, Drinking Wine;” children’s’ activities will take place during the BBQ. “Over the years the walk has raised more than 1.7 million dollars and what is so important for everyone to know is that 100% of the money stays right here in our community to eradicate homelessness” said Bishop Reilly. CMHA is grateful that the Hanover Insurance Group Foundation is once again the presenting sponsor of the WALK.
