Partners off to good start

Posted By February 27, 2016 | 11:00 am | Featured Article #3, Local

The annual Partners in Charity Appeal, which began Feb. 8, has already received 278 gifts and pledges totaling $787,242, according to Michael P. Gillespie, diocesan director of Stewardship and Development.
This year’s goal is $5 million, as it was last year. If this year’s Appeal surpasses that goal, the overage will be used for the diocesan Priests Retirement Fund, he said.
He said that more than half the parishes in the diocese are planning in-pew solicitations this weekend. The Appeal video, “Called to be Merciful,” is available on the  websites and Those interested can pick it up on smartphones or Ipads by using the QR code below.
