WORCESTER – Bishop McManus presented religious awards to youth and adults May 3 at St. Paul Cathedral during the Diocese of Worcester Catholic Scouting Ministry Mass. “We gratefully recognize the contributions” Scouts have made building up the Church “while seeking to transform the world,” he said. Father Donato Infante III, Scouting chaplain, shared in his homily some of Pope Francis’ messages to Scouts. All are called to be missionaries, Father Infante noted, and encouraged youth to show care for struggling peers and elders near them. Jesus gives what material things can’t - the joy of feeling loved and of loving.
